ใจคนย่อมเป็นเหมือนน้ำ...Heart and mind are somehow like water.

ฉันเชื่อว่าคนเราทุกคนเกิดมาพร้อมกับคุณธรรม มากบ้างน้อยบ้างต่างกันออกไป ซึ่งคำว่า " คุณธรรม " นี้เอง เป็นตัวกำหนดบทบาทให้เรา ทำสิ่งใด และ ไม่ทำสิ่งใด จริงหรือไม่ถ้าฉันจะพูดว่า คุณธรรมมักจะอยู่ในตำแหน่งที่ตรงข้ามกับความรู้สึกของเราหลายต่อหลายครั้ง... ด้วยเหตุนี้เอง จีงเป็นเรื่องที่ท้าท้ายจิตใจของคนเราอยู่บ่อย ๆ ว่า ท้ายที่สุดแล้วเราจะเลือกทำในสิ่งที่ถูกต้อง... หรือถูกใจ...

อาจารย์ไพรพิศ จิตสุวรรณทยา คือ ครูท่านหนึ่งที่ฉันให้ความเคารพนับถือทั้งตัวท่านและความคิดอ่านของท่าน ท่านกล่าวไว้และฉันจำขึ้นใจจนถึงทุกวันนี้ ท่านสอนไว้ว่า ใจคนเราย่อมเป็นเหมือน " น้ำ " เพราะน้ำย่อมไหลลงสู่ที่ต่ำเหมือน " น้ำตก " เสมอ ใจคนเราก็เช่นกัน ย่อมอยากทำในสิ่งที่ทำให้เราพึงพอใจอยู่เสมอ " คุณธรรม " นี้เองจะเป็นกลไกที่ควบคุมจิตใจคนเราให้ทำในสิ่งที่ควรทำแม้ไม่อยากทำ เหมือน " น้ำพุ " ซึ่งมีกลไกที่คอยควบคุมธรรมชาติของน้ำให้ฝืนธรรมชาติ และพุ่งขึ้นสู่ที่สูงได้


บางครั้งฉันเลือกที่จะทำในสิ่งที่ถูกต้อง... แต่ไม่ถูกใจ เพราะฉันพิจารณาและเห็นจริงดั่งคำครูท่านว่าไว้ การตัดสินใจทำในสิ่งที่ถูกต้องเสมอนั้นเป็นเรื่องไม่ง่ายเพราะบางครั้งความถูกต้องเองก็ฝืน หรือยืนอยู่ตรงข้ามกับความรู้สึก... และฉันเข้าใจถึงความรู้สึกนี้เป็นอย่างดี เพราะฉันเองก็เคยเลือกที่จะทำแบบนั้นมาแล้ว ผลจากการทำในสิ่งที่ฝืนกับความรู้สึกเพื่อรักษาความถูกต้อง... เพื่อรักษาคุณธรรมนั้น ประหนึ่งเรายอมรับรสขมซึ่งเป็นยามากกว่าที่จะชื่นชมกับรสหวาน ฉันรู้ดีว่า บางครั้งฉันเสียใจอยู่ลึก ๆ ที่ฉันเลือกทำอย่างนั้น จิตใจด้านมืดก่นด่าตัวเองอยู่บางครั้งว่าทำไมฉันถึงโง่... โง่... ที่ผลักไสความสุข แล้วรับเอาความทุกข์นั้นไว้


แต่ท้ายที่สุดฉันก็ยังเชื่อมั่นว่า หากคนเราลองได้ทำในสิ่งที่ถูกต้องแล้ว เราเงยหน้าย่อมไม่อายฟ้า ก้มหน้าย่อมไม่อายดิน ตราบใดที่เรายังอาศัยอยู่ใต้แผ่นฟ้า และยืนอยู่บนผืนแผ่นดิน... ฟ้าและดินย่อมรู้และเห็นในสิ่งที่เรากระทำเสมอ สิ่งนี้มันคือ " ความภาคภูมิใจ " ที่จะติดตัวเราไปเหมือนเงา ว่าเราสามารถยกระดับจิตของเราได้โดยไม่ปล่อยให้มันไหลเลื่อนเคลื่อนคล้อยลงสู่ที่ต่ำเหมือนน้ำนั่นเอง



I believe that we were born with moral more or less, depends on each person. The word " Moral" controls our role and tells us what we should do or should not do. Is it right if I say, moral is often opposite with our feelings? So it seems to challenge our heart and mind either we choose to do the right thing or we choose to do the thing that satisfy us finally.


Mrs. Praipit Chitsuwantaya is the teacher I respect both herself and her thoughts. She taught me and I have never forgotten it that our heart and mind are somehow like " Water " as it always flows to the down position like " Waterfall ", our heart and mind natually tell ourselves to do things which satisfy us as well. Then " Moral " is a system or tools to control our heart and mind, choose to do the right thing which we might not want to. It is like " Fountain " which human invented system to control its nature goes up to the high position.


I sometimes chose to do the right thing but not satisfy myself because I deeply considered and agreed with the teaching of my teacher. It is not easy to decide or to choose to do the right thing when the correctness is opposite with the feelings and emotions. I do understand that kind of feelings and I once decided to do so. To accept doing the right thing which is opposite with one's feeling, is like the acceptance of bitterness of the medicine but not the enjoyment of sweet. Yes, I admitted, I sometimes was really sad from deep inside when I chose to do like that. The dark side of my deep mind shouted at me and asked why was I so stupid to pushed the happiness away and accepted the sorrow.


I finally storngly believe that when we decide to do the right thing, we will never been ashamed of ourselves towards the sky when we look up there as well as we will never been ashamed of ourself towards the ground when we look down at it. As long as we live under the sky and stand on the ground, they will always know and see our actions. This feeling is being proud of one self that he can develop his mind and control it, not let it goes down like the water flows always to the down position. And this feeling will be with him forever like the shadow follows him.
